Our Approach

We’re at the forefront of a
new movement in the healing arts.

Our Style

Soul-Sensitive Care

Our commitment to holding space that is trauma-sensitive, nervous system informed, honors ancestral and lived experiences, and empowers each individual’s inherent ability to create change. Soul-Sensitive Care intends to create an environment to reconnect with what the body knows & soul remembers.

The Soul-Sensitive Framework

Polyvagal Theory

We acknowledge the importance of the nervous system as a primary part of our soul-sensitive approach to caregiving, facilitation, and education through a trauma informed lens.

Epigenetics

We acknowledge the impact of cultural and epigenetic inheritances from our ancestral lineages.

Our Curriculum

Altar Ego

The Altar Ego Framework

Tell your story. Embrace the healing medicine these parts are offering & taste the elixir that was within you all along.

Embody

Emerge from this journey, like a butterfly breaking out of its cocoon, with gentle aligned actions to fully embody this Altar Ego.

Soft Power

In our efforts to transform society, Soft Power focuses on reconnecting with our creativity instead of exerting the hard power tactics of force & coercion.

Express

Liberate the story, the parts, the Altar Ego by creating a performance (recorded or live) that introduces your lore and/or healing medicine.

Trauma-Informed Care

We acknowledge the impact of colonization, white supremacy, and capitalism on the human mind, body, and spirit, and we believe there is a need for trauma informed care, education, and facilitation in all dimensions of our communities.

Soul-Sensitive Care expands on the trauma-informed care framework by incorporating nervous system education, the epigenetic impact of our lived & inherited experiences, & a belief that every individual possesses an inherent power & ability to make their own sovereign choices. A soul-sensitive care provider’s role is to cultivate an environment for clients to perceive the safety they need to identify and voice their needs, desires, and boundaries.”

- Siobhan Diores, co-founder

An “Altar Ego” is a character, identity, or aspect of Self who is wanting to be loved & liberated through creative expression and soft power.

Every season, Soft Power leads a cohort of performers of all experience levels through our curriculum that supports deeper self-exploration & self-expression during revolutionary times.

Retrieve

Journey to the depths of your inner worlds to retrieve parts of Self who have been hurt, harmed, shamed, silenced, or suppressed.
